TESTIMONIALS FROM PAST CLASSES AND TRIPS:

10/5/2011: Excert taken from the PPP Facebook Page from Mark Braun:  "Well if you are doing to post in face book I am too. Never did this face book thing. I don't see any mention of our trip to Keuka Lake . Hmmm. It was the wettest I've been without actually going into or on the water. But I had a blast! We hiked, went to a couple wineries and had some of the best food I have ever eaten. Shrimp Alfredo, Strip Steaks, Chocolate Pecan Pie, the weather did not accommodate but once again PPP came through with a great weekend."
9/17/2011: St. Mary's Canoe Outing
Thanks for making our canoeing experience a fantastic event. All were pleased!!!  Mark

Trip Reflections - August 2011 - Key River/Georgian Bay:  The description of the trip was accurate as a wilderness adventure.  Exercise was moderate (not overly difficult for us 60+); swims were refreshing.  Freedom to experience the peace and quiet and stillness was ap preciated either together or privately as we breathed wonderful clean air many miles from any traffic.  For us, the time was calm and relaxing seeing & ap preciating undisturbed nature and wildlife.  Our guides, Christine and Oren were very knowledgeable and patient; they exercised caution and safety as we experienced unfamiliar territory.  We ate alot of good food offered by Christine and even sipped a nice shiraz at dinners; the filtered water from the bay was delicious.  Oren helped improve our paddling and kayak handling skills.  The sunsets were awesome.  We have usually camped in the woods with lots of trees.  The windswept islands had fewer and shorter trees which allowed the heavens to be seen beautifully even from our tent.  We saw the Milky Way 180 degrees horizon to horizon, the stars between the stars, & shooting stars.  This was all reflected in the night's glassy water with only silence in our ears.  We stayed an extra day at Grundy Lake and paddled the secluded Beaver Lake before heading home. 8/31/2011: Good Day! Roger & I did your kayak excursion last night (first time in a kayak for both of us) and it was so wonderful!!! What fun...paddling feels so good! I can't stop reliving it. Can't wait to go again. Thank you for providing such a pleasurable experience; I'm totally hooked. Sincerely, Denise Bryan
8/22/2011This is a non paid/non solicited testimonial.  I can't thank you enough for the exceptional demo on Saturday.  You and Oren have gone above and beyond in making me feel comfortable, answering all my questions and finding the right Kayak that fit me, that I felt a part of and that was right for me.  The both of you have been patient and not pushy just to get a sale and that is good business.  Now that I understand the importance of a good Kayak, a quality kayak that can be purchased in your store I will be back.  As promised one way or another I will be in to put money down on my Prijon seayak and with luck will have it ready to use for the 2012 Kayak season.  Thanks again for all of your help and patience, P.S. you have a customer for life.  Scott Mundy
8/14/2011: Full Moon Wine & Cheese Paddle: "Just wanted to say thanks again, last nights kayak trip on lake Ontario at Wilson Tuscarora park was great.  That was my first time in a kayak and I had a great time, your instructors were great and the party on the beach was the best, good time". Scott Mundy
11/17/2010 Kayak Roll Clinic:I recently completed the Kayak Roll Clinic and would like to thank you and your instructors for a wonderful experience.  The instruction was tailored to each participant allowing everyone to learn at a comfortable pace.  I was impressed with your focus on safety and your ability to break down the "roll."  The class exceeded my expectations and I look forward to taking more classes with PP&P! “- Bob Florian
3/16/09 Kayak Roll Clinic:  "I just took the kayak roll clinic and I was amazed - Oren and the gang took us all from spazers to masters in 4 sessions!  It was the most beneficial, hands-on, class I have ever taken.  They also proved that you can teach old dogs new tricks - since I just turned 50.  The Kayak Roll clinic is a great safety class for white water and touring alike.  Two thumbs up!" jwillett
3/16/09 Kayak Roll Clinic:  "I just want to say that I have really enjoyed all the classes that I have taken with the gang at PPP. I have taken all three kayak classes, and much to my amazement, they actually taught me to roll one. I also took their wilderness first aid class and found it to be excellent. The best part of this class was the hands on "practical" where we actually went out to the nearby park and to deal with simulated emergency situations. All the instructors are very nice people and they really know what they are doing. I hope to take some more instruction in the near future. Thanks again guys, Jack"
Troop 529 and Crew 99 Scouting Adventures:   "I have been a Scout Leader for 21 years, both as a Scoutmaster and Venturing Ranger Crew advisor. We go on high adventure treks every year. Over time, I have developed into a regular mother hen, sometimes much to the dismay of my older youth, but to the appreciation of their parents. I want to challenge youth but never put them at risk. The type of trips we take are usually in pristine wilderness areas where outside help is sometimes minimal and a high degree of skill and preparedness is essential. We always hire a professional outfitter. When I first started doing these trips, I was not happy with the skill levels of the first outfitters we hired. I camp and trek 50 to 60 days a year and like to think I am a fair judge of outdoor skills myself. For the past 5 years, our treks have exclusively been led by Oren and Andy from Paths Peaks and Paddles. From the wilds of the Nipissing River in Algonquin Provincial Park to the French River on Georgian Bay to white water canoeing on the Madawaska River , I have learned to trust their judgment on evaluating skill levels of participants to the challenges present and acting accordingly. The guides at Paths, Peaks and Paddles are certified Wilderness First Responders in addition to New York State licensed guides in all outdoor activities and watercraft. As a result and in conclusion, if Paths Peaks and Paddles are not available on the dates I want to trek, I change my dates," Jim "Doc" McClure
