The official paddling season has started and we’re enjoying every moment. Last Thursday on the West Creek the carp were jumping high all around us. Through the weeds Mama swan sat perched on her nest watching us as we paddled by. Entering the lake to watch the sunset was glorious. The sun hitting the water projected a copper tint as we bobbed on the waves. Any one who wishes to experience this wonderful event should join us every Thursday evening in Wilson at the Wilson Tuscarora State Park. Any one who wishes to paddle can meet us at the park between 6:15 & 6:30 pm. If you need directions or wish to reserve a boat please contact the shop at 213-0350. Hope

| I had a nice time Thursday and I hope to encourage anyone that needs a little time away from a hectic life to join in the Thursday and Tuesday paddles. There weren't many of us, perhaps because the weather looked a little threatening, but turned out very nice even if it was somewhat overcast. [/img] |
